Q08:I think Dynamic Routing is not necessary for
Dynamic VPN setup. Isn't it?
No,
when using VPN you don't need to setup the routing table. You just
need to ping the remote
gateway's FQDN you setup to see if it replies the correct WAN IP
address of the VPN router.
|
Q07:Is
the "Dynamic VPN" setup related to "DynDNS"
setup for WAN port connection?
When
using dynamic VPN it does not relate to DDNS, because you don't need
to care about who
the remote VPN client is. In the other word, it doesn't check the
remote gateway IP or Domain
Name but check the Pre-shared key, IKE and IPsec proposals only.
|
Q06:To
setup VPN between 2 routers, can both sides of UIS1400-S9 be used
with Dynamic VPN?
No,
you must use one side as static WAN IP. When building VPN tunnel,
you must trigger from static
VPN router's LAN. Because the dynamic site doesn't configure the
remote side's information so it doesn't understand whom he want to
establish VPN tunnel. It (dynamic DNS router) often used as VPN
server.

UM_Router.pdf
UM_USBRouter.pdf
Please use non-USB file for your proper reference.
USB
WAN Modem is another model which is not covered in UIS1400-S9.
