cannot connect to my router UIS1400-C8 again when I set MAC Address
Control?

In
most of the case, after you assign MAC address (say:
12-34-56-78-9A-BC) to a specific IP address (say: 192.168.123.50).
You change it to not the same as Windows clients IP address
(192.168.123.100). After your router reboot, and you click Windows
XP Repair IP dialog box, Windows XPs IP address is still
not changed. But router recognizes that MAC address should be new IP
address. So, they cannot be connected.
To
fix this problem, you need to use DOS Command Prompt to
>ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew to set your PC
with proper IP address.

Q09: How to backup the UIS1400-C8 configuration
setting and restore it?
You
can backup your settings by clicking the Backup
Setting button
and save it as a bin file. Once you want to restore these settings,
please click Firmware
Upgrade button
and use the bin file you saved. The operating software inside
UIS1400-C8 Firmware Upgrade will check the file if it is a firmware or
a saved configuration file.

Q08:
I'm
not able to play the battle.net when more than one player in the
same LAN?
After
this router firmware release R1.97d4, our UIS1400-C8 router can
support the Battle.Net game for multi users without any settings.
Please go to download page to upgrade firmware.
For
WARCraft game playing via the 1.97d4 firmware, user under LAN who
wants to open game room must be set in Virtual Server port 6112. And
if he doesnt want to open game room but just want to join other
user's game, then he doesn't need to open Virtual Server port 6112.
For
StarCraft game playing via the 1.97d4 firmware, no matter user wants
to join others' game or want to open game room, he doesnt need to
do any setting.
Although
the two games are both Battle.Net, but their mechanism are different.

Q07:
What is Special Application? And how to use it?
Some
software applications require multiple connections, like Internet
games, Video conferencing, Internet telephony and so on. Due to the
firewall function, these applications cannot work with pure NAT
router. Special Applications makes some of these applications to work
through NAT router. The settings are:
Trigger
port: The outgoing port number issued by the application.
Incoming ports: When the trigger packet is detected, the
incoming packets to the specified port numbers are allowed to pass
through the firewall.
The
router provides some predefined settings. Select your application and
click Copy to add the predefined setting to your list. If the method
of Special Applications fails to make an application to work, try DMZ
host instead.
NOTE:
At any time, only one PC can use each Special Application.

Q06:
What are the default IP
address, user name and password to manage UIS1400-C8?
When
you reset the router back to its default factory setting. The
routers DHCP server function is enabled.
Then
you may setup a PC automatically to get IP from the Router, after you
get the IP address, please use ipconfig command to see PCs default
gateway address, that is the routers LAN IP address.
Regarding
to the user name and password, you may find it from the web user
interface and manual.

Q05:
How
to reset the UIS1400-C8 to its factory default setting?
1.
You can reset this router to factory default by clicking the Web
interface Tool box Reset to default button.
2.
Restore by hardware when the router power on. First, hold the RESET
button about 5 seconds (M1 will start flashing about 5 times), move
away the hand. The RESTORE process is completed.

Q04:
What is the alternative power adapter can be used for UIS1400-C8?
With
9V AC 1A output power adapter is the default design for UIS1400-C8
router.
However,
if it is not easy to find the same type power adapter, this
routers power circuit design accept 7.5v~20vDC
power adapter, a DC 9V 1A or DC 12V 1A power are common available to
be used. Please note this flexibility of power adapter type is only
applicable for this model UIS1400-C8 router.

Q03:
What is the power adapter used for UIS1400-C8?
The
power adapter shipped with UIS1400-C8 is 9V AC 1A.
Please
pay attention that is AC 9 volts output power adapter. It is not DC
9V output.
The
power circuit of the router makes voltage rectifier, filter, stable
voltage for internal processor and chips.
If
user happen misused the power adapter with 9V DC, it will not damage
to this routers power circuit.

UIS1400-C8 NAT router function can be disabled?
No,
this router is primarily designed for NAT routering for IP sharing
from all LAN users. NAT routing can not be disabled.

Yes,
start from the initial firmware R1.97a9 has Virtual Computer
function. In the Basic Setting--> Primary Setup Page. There are 5
entries to support global public IP map to Private IP.
